As part of the Biosphere Festival, Moorgreen Allotments in Cowes are opening their gates to the public.

There’ll be a chance to take a look around Moorgreen Allotments and meet members of the Moorgreen Road Allotment Society.

There will also be a Green Island Veg Economy (GIVE) stall where produce and plants from the garden will be given away, or can be swapped for other plants, produce, seeds etc.

Allotment members will be on hand to discuss ideas for increased bio-diversity within the allotment space and the adjacent woodland which is also managed by the society.

No booking required

Moorgreen Road Allotments can be found on Moorgreen Road, Cowes. The allotment garden is adjacent to the Moorgreen Road Reservoir Park. On-street parking only.

The nearest bus stop is ‘Rashleys’ on Park Road, No.1 bus, Cowes/ Newport on the Round house route.

Please be aware that some of the allotment garden has uneven ground and much of it can be slippery if it has been rainy. The woodland is all fairly rough terrain
