A talk on the fascinating history of Quakers and the Environment.
To become a member of the Society of Friends, otherwise known as Quakers, one must fulfil four criteria, to be on a spiritual path, to be a pacifist, to believe in equality of all peoples, and finally to care about the environment. Simplicity and truth are important values.
Quakers have a long history of being aware of the importance of good husbandry and concern for our living home planet and as human understanding has progressed, so have our values and inputs into this approach to life. What do the Quakers as a whole global organisation actively do and what actions do our local group take, individually or collectively?
No booking required, just turn up.
