Write Back to Nature

  • Mill Copse Yarmouth, England, PO41 United Kingdom (map)

Write Back to Nature is an invitation to re-home ourselves in the natural world, experiencing nature not as something ‘out there’ but as something ‘in here’.

Through mind, heart and body opening practices coupled with time on the land, we’ll be uncovering the words that wish to speak through us as we enter into conversation with Creation. This session is hosted by local poet, Harrison Wavell, whose work aims at healing and restoring our sense of sacred connection with the natural world.

Harrison is a member of Creation Matters, a movement of people from across the Island’s faith community seeking to become better stewards of Creation in an age of ecological decline.

This session is open to anyone interested in exploring the exciting convergence of creativity and nature reconnection. Open to all faiths and none, young and old, families or soloists.

Please bring something to sit on (blanket or camping chair is fine), suitable clothing for roaming in the woods, notebook and pen.

Meet at the big car park next to Yarmouth green (beside the river) at 10:30am for the morning session or 3pm for the afternoon session.

From the carpark, it is a 10 minute walk to Mill Copse along the old railway line. It is mostly flat ground. There are two kissing gates on the route
